Our Story

Born and raised in Bunker's Hill, I have always carried a deep gratitude for the community that shaped me. Growing up here with friends who share the same love for our hometown, we often dreamed of ways to give back and reinvest in the place that gave us so much.

Now, in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, that dream has taken on urgent purpose. Through our mission, we are providing building materials and support to families impacted by the storm, helping them rebuild safe, sustainable homes. At the heart of this effort is a community trust designed to ensure Bunker's Hill can recover and thrive—not just today, but for generations to come—bringing to life the vision of our ancestors for a resilient, strong community.

To unite residents, the diaspora, and supporters to rebuild homes, restore livelihoods, and strengthen the future of Bunker's Hill through transparent, community-led action.

Key Action Areas

Home Reconstruction

Rebuild at least ten homes for families who lost everything in Hurricane Melissa, with priority given to elders, single mothers, and the most vulnerable.

Community Trust Development

Establish a nonprofit and community trust that manages donations with transparency and attracts long-term investment in the community.

Website Launch and Transparency Hub

Use bunkershill.org to show how funds are used, track rebuilding progress, and provide verified updates that supporters can trust.

Diaspora Engagement

Mobilize Jamaicans abroad through social media, partnerships, and storytelling that connects the global Bunkers Hill family to rebuilding efforts.

Infrastructure Recovery

Advocate for road repairs, power restoration, and water access to properly reconnect the community and support daily life.
